Benefits of Modular Design

  • Economies of Scale: Standardizing a design, having the same team build these facilities allows for significant economies of scale. A more effective model for both buyer and manufacturer. Increasingly efficient and faster production times to shipping and storing all of the building and drive-thru materials, the purpose behind a modular design is efficiency
 
  • Modular in Design: Taking over an existing rental space requires working with the unit’s current design and layout and creating a custom retrofit for each location. A modular building with a drive-thru system not only avoids these challenges, but provides a customizable layout, design and functionality that can be standardized for other locations, allowing you to provide the most efficient service at every business location. 

  • Easier Permitting: Constructing off-site using a modular design allows for an easier process for obtaining the building permits. You still have the ability to change the facia materials or signage to work with local zoning requirements. The process is 90% complete at the factory.
 
  • Faster Construction and Expansion: Using this strategy, multiple restaurant units can be built simultaneously, expediting the rate of growth and expansion for any chain or franchise. It can take as little as 6 -8 weeks to build one of these modular units, whereas constructing a restaurant from scratch usually takes months. The method of construction inside a facility also ensures there’s never a construction delay due to rain or severe weather conditions.
